Friendly small family-run studios, set in a semi-rural position on the inland edge of the resort surrounded by rugged hillsides. No food and beverage or pool but a real authentic style and setting that should appeal to couples or individuals. A fair walk into the centre and beach-so for those wanting to explore the island and the better beaches, a hire car would be a distinct advantage. For those interested in nature and walking there are large turtle nesting beaches further along the coast towards Skala. In the evenings there is more life going on also In Skala and a bus is available from the centre.

Area Type: On a small side street leading to the old village of Ano Katelios surrounded by open countryside with a backdrop of rugged pine-clad hills. A 15 minute walk to the centre. Close to the main road leading into the resort. Only a mini-market in the immediate vicinity. There are a good choice of tavernas found in the centre of Kato Katelios by the seafront specialising in seafood. A bus stop is a few metres along the street to neighbouring Skala which also stops near the centre of the village.The nearest beach is in the centre, a 15-minute walk away. The beach is called Agia Varvara and is a narrow stretch of dark sand with sunbeds and parasols. The larger sand, turtle-nesting beaches of Kaminia, Potomakia and Mounta are all linked and found further along the seafront towards Skala.
