Newly built, this is an ultra-modern 5-star hotel in a remote location.
That said, it is equipped with an attractive choice of bars, dining options and pools coupled with a well equipped spa and generously sized children’s play area.
Suitable for all age groups and those looking for a modern, premier hotel in an isolated setting. Car hire is highly recommended and the property is not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to its elevated position and the amount of steps.
Built into the mountainside, the main building is positioned at the top with various accommodation blocks arranged at lower levels underneath, heading towards the sea below.
Painted in earthy greys, beiges and clarets, the accommodation buildings look like modern UK apartment blocks. Protruding balconies are all shaded and reasonably sized, with modern furnishings and glass fronted balconies, the majority offering sea views.

The boldly painted terracotta reception is open plan to the lobby and main bar, featuring chunky leather sofas and stately chairs with striped upholstery and funky lighting features.
The bar is 2-sided and leads to a marble terrace with iron beams, glass roof, quirky wicker furniture and wooden sculptures.
The main restaurant is in shades of mauve and burgundy with dark wooden patterned furniture and numerous pot plants and vases filled with stones and candles.
Grounds are mainly tiled, with decking, waterways, some lawns and greenery bordering the pathways.
The main infinity pool has enchanting views with metal steps and inbuilt Jacuzzis. It is overlooked by a delightful pool bar and a la carte restaurant with designer brown and white seating.
There is a further swim-up pool bar between the other 2 pools with hydrotherapy jets and a decked seating terrace adorned with ornate iron furniture. The spacious children’s area has its own pool in a lower position, with lawns, mini football and various apparatus as well as a club house. Whilst the hotels beach is not private, it has its own sunbeds and parasols.
Area Type: Michelangelo Hotel is in a remote location in the tiny resort of Agios Fokas, which is famous for its thermal springs, 2 km away. It is built into the cliff face on the coast road, 8km from the centre of Kos Town. With direct access to the narrow shingle beach below and clear views to mainland Turkey, the property is surrounded by mountains. There are 2 tavernas and a small supermarket in the vicinity with greater choice in Psalidi 5km away or Kos Town. Both can be reached by the local bus that stops outside.
