A 3 star establishment in a quieter part of the resort that still hosts a choice of amenities within a few minutes’ walk and the benefit of the beach being opposite.
Although well maintained, the property is suited more to the older market that prefers a smaller more intimate property with a homely feel.
A singular block at right angles surrounding the pool at the front. Brightly painted in yellow and white, balconies are at an angle to face the sea and are compact in size with just enough room for the red plastic furnishings.
Property type: Hotel
Balcony/Terrace: Most rooms
Built Year: 1976
Modern but unexceptional interior with a large dull lobby and small fountain. There is a small cafe/bar open at the front of the property and a garish restaurant.
Grounds are compact with flowerbeds, some trees and Greek statues bordering the pool area. Limited room for sunbeds on the narrow tiled surround and as the pool is road side, it may experience some traffic noise.
The pools entry is by metal steps only and there is a small children’s section with high railings separating it from the deeper main area.
The bar has a welcoming terrace at the entrance looking over to the sea. The mainly shingle beach has a windsurfing club and the section used by the Sheraton hotel next door has some man-made sand.
Area Type: Positioned with other hotels on this piece of busy, main coastal road, the property is located opposite the narrow, shingle beach of Ixia. A small car parking area and bus stop are opposite for service to Rhodes Town 4km away or 10km in the opposite direction for the centre of Ixia, Trianda and the airport. A small selection of restaurants and minimarkets can be found within a few minutes’ walk along the coast road, with a further choice in the centre of Ixia 600m away.
