Spacious, tasteful and modern interior throughout with a light and airy appearance due to the amount of floor to ceiling windows and glass roofs on different levels.
With a high level of security at the entrance, privacy is guaranteed which would suit all age groups of discerning clients due to its children’s facilities, multi sports areas and generous spa facilities all combining to give a relaxed resort feel.
Although the beach is situated in close proximity with a water sports centre and clear waters, it is narrow, stony and untidy in places, with some noise from the busy main road behind.
Prominent, concrete, angular building on 12 levels, in earthy colours of grey and terracotta blending well with the local surroundings.
All rooms have balconies with either glass or concrete frontages and floors 1 to 5 all have sea views and floors 6 to 8 have a mixture of mountain and sea view. Terraces from various floors also feature glass balconies in order not to interrupt the view.
Although it was designed by a famous Greek architect, it is not the most attractive of buildings externally, but this build style was used to enable the majority of areas to have a sea view.

Modishly furnished interior areas with dark browns, creams and lime being the dominant colour scheme. The cavernous lobby has a glass pointed ceiling hosting various knights’ flags which is in keeping with the medieval history of the island but doesn’t quite fit in with the hotels theme.
Many areas have floor to ceiling glass offering attractive views at almost every turn. The main restaurant has chunky wooden furnishings, the Asian restaurant is in keeping with its theme and the Mediterranean restaurant has ultra modern white plastic tables and chairs.
The spa is larger than average with a spacious aerobic studio and fitness room and as well as the standard sports courts, has the unique addition of squash courts.
The 100m driveway from the main road houses the sizeable private parking area which extends further into a secure underground car park. Landscaped throughout, the gardens are immaculate and thoughtfully designed offering well maintained lush lawns, rockeries, flower beds and trees.
The larger freeform pool at ground level is the most appealing and has a roman stepped entry for ease of access with water features and an attractive tropical themed pool bar. Chunky dark rattan sunbeds are spread around with extended sunbathing areas on some of the lawns.
It’s worth noting that this pool area may experience some traffic noise due to its location close to the main road, however there is also an indoor pool and a further pool area on the 8th-floor or a windsurfing club is located on the beach for the more energetic.
Area Type: In a slightly elevated position on the mountain side, just off the busy main coastal road which separates the hotel from the narrow, shingle beach of Ixia which is accessible by an underground walkway. Bus stop directly outside with Rhodes Town 4km away or 10km in the opposite direction towards the airport. A selection of restaurants and minimarkets can be found within a 5-min walk along the coast road.
