The grey stone clad walls and dry desert-like gardens in front of the somewhat isolated cubicle shaped main building belies what stands beyond. A stylishly designed and furnished reception and restaurant affords, from the terrace, magnificent views out to sea. All the rooms are located further down the slope beneath the pool deck in detached and semi-detached blocks. With no specific facilities for children, there is a sense of tranquillity here making it more suitable for those seeking a quiet haven but within relatively easy reach of the resort’s facilities.
Traditional 4m high stone walls form the boundary of this property from the quiet road and leads to a cobbled forecourt with a short drive and a shaded parking area. Cacti and other shrubs give a stark appearance to the 2-storey cubical stone clad main building to which 3 wide steps lead up to the double-door entrance. Next to the building, there are grassed areas and a walkway jutting out of the 2nd floor.
Property type: Hotel
The square foyer immediately sets the tone for this stylish property. As well as a short reception counter, there are a few clusters of deep cushioned chairs and sofas against beige walls with hanging local artwork. A door leads through to the restaurant with polished floors and a continuation of the stone walls. A grand piano stands in one corner with a bar in another. The furnishings here and outside on the broad terrace are of sturdy wood. Up a narrow stairway, there is a further lounge area and a door leading to the aforementioned walkway, which serves as a spectacular viewing point.
Immediately in front of the reception building, steps lead down from the terrace to the large paved pool deck, which is furnished with sunloungers and parasols and incorporates the existing rock formation within its design. The edge of the deck has a 3m high wall over which the single-storey detached and semi-detached flat-roofed stone-clad rooms can be seen. The hillside location and rock formations add to the charm of this property but it should obviously be noted that a considerable number of steps and stairways are necessary throughout the grounds.
