Hotel Zi Teresa, Sorrento Italy
★ ★ ★
A pleasant little mid-market property close to the town centre, tucked away on a relatively peaceful side street, which is rare for Sorrento! No pool onsite but guests can the one at a nearby hotel, although it is chargeable. Offers a restaurant and small bar but little else. Handy for the bars and restaurants in the centre, but the seafront is harder to access, requiring either a lengthy walk or public transport.
Most guests are from the UK and either ouples and individuals. Would suit independent couples or individuals wanting a small, quiet, personal base for exploring the town.
Hotel Zi Teresa in Sorrento is on a narrow side street, just off the busy main road in the town centre with the police station opposite. Plenty of amenities are on the main road a few minutes’ walk away. Bus stop for the centre is 30 metres away. 250 metres to the train and station and it is a 10-minute walk to Piazza Tasso.
The seafront area of Marina San Francesco has wood-decked jetties with chargeable sunbeds, parasols and changing cabins. There are also narrow stretches of dark sand with more sunbeds and parasols. Access to the seafront is via public chargeable elevators from the clifftop above or by a 10-minute walk downhill from the main square.
The only exterior area is a lush garden to the front with metal chairs and tables under canopy shades on an adjacent terrace.
