★ ★ ★ ★
Simple, compact, homely little bed and breakfast venue in an historic part of the city. Dating back hundreds of years, the novelist George Eliot was once a guest, and its historic facade contrasts with the designer boutiques in this area.
Minimal interior areas with a small breakfast area, comfortable lounge and a tiny bar by the lobby. All the major cultural attractions are nearby, as are public transport connections.
Mainly American, British and Asian couples or groups looking for a small property within walking distance of the attractions and shops.
On a crossroads of small side streets with other similar old terraced properties. Surrounded by upmarket designer boutiques on this renowned shopping street in the centre of the city. In a central location opposite Palazzo Strozzi, close to the main shopping area with the main attractions just across the river over a nearby bridge or a little further along over the famous Ponte Vecchio.
Piazza della Repubblica is 100m away, the cathedral 400m, and bus and train stations a 10-minute walk where there is also a taxi station.
No pool or public communal areas.
