Charming beige and cream painted courtyard has a tiny pool and tiled surround. Sweeping arches overlook intimately decorated areas and wooden rails line the upper levels. Round pillars and subtle lighting add to the exotic, mystical feel while small rooms and alcoves feature colourful textiles, wide bench like sofas and low tables, where drinks and food are served on demand.
A narrow staircase leads to the upper levels and may prove cumbersome for the less agile.
Central courtyard is the focal point for guests with a couple of well pruned trees and a tiny ornamental plunge pool. A pleasant roof terrace has a limited supply of sunloungers, more seating and views over the surrounding roof tops towards the Bahia Palace and beyond.
Area Type: In a narrow alley like street, towards the southern end of the ancient Medina, 150m from the silver market and adjoining a straight road that leads directly up to the central area and Jemma el Fna, with its entertainers, juice stalls and plethora of evening eateries. Plenty of shops within 200m, including carpet sellers, small grocery stores and drinks outlets. Taxis wait in a small car park 120m away.
