An upmarket, well equipped establishment that provides an off centre base with a quality feel throughout the grounds and communal areas. There is much emphasis on conferences and meetings but those who appreciate a larger operation with a good supply of amenities may find the property acceptable.
Although there is little in the area of interest to the tourist, taxis are always available and access to the airport is relatively easy.
A series of linked, rich terracotta coloured, low-rise buildings with much focus on the large pool area. Main communal building, with its impressive entrance leading off the car park, is built in the style of a fortress which blends in well with the surroundings.
Accommodation areas feature a welcome combination of classic and modern designs with all rooms enjoying a private recessed or protruding balcony or terrace.
Property type: Hotel
Balcony/Terrace: All rooms
Built Year: 2009
Interior decor is modern and stylish with many hints of Berber designs and tiling. The combination of ornate tiling and rich marble creates a splendid palatial atmosphere, especially in the large lobby and reception areas.
There is a good supply of simple seating beneath the ornately decorated dome. A massive, stylish main restaurant and bar have a self service section but this does not detract from the feeling of sophistication and elegance. An a la carte option is more compact and intimate.
Enormous pool area is peaceful and pristine, with little in the way of external noise. A good supply of comfortable sunloungers and parasols are overseen by attentive pool staff.
Less agile guests will need to find the best way to access the pool as there are a number of steps both into and within the pool.
A large restaurant/bar area has some shaded seating and a state of the art spa offers a wide range of health related treatments. The abundance of maturing shrubs and palm trees add colour and character.
Area Type: Located 4km to the south of the Medina area, in a fast developing district of office blocks, conference facilities and other accommodation options. There is little around that may be of interest to tourists but taxis wait outside, in the large car park. There is a well established sister property, the Kenzi Farah, in the more popular Hivernage area.
