A functional looking middle market base which attracts many independent, budget minded travellers who prefer to stay in the newer part of the city rather than the ancient Medina.
A previously advertised spa facility has been closed but the enclosed pool is fairly pleasant and protected from traffic noise.
An irregular, pink coloured, mundane looking building with a wide off street entrance and small sheltered balconies, some of which overlook the busy street. A pleasant arched colonnade at the rear has a few shops to one side and overlooks the pool.
Property type: Hotel
Balcony/Terrace: Most rooms
Built Year: 1988
Dark, functional looking lobby has a small reception desk and limited supply of mundane seating. A colourful, tastefully furnished restaurant has a view over the pool area. Authentic Moroccan tiling and seating create an exotic North African atmosphere.
Compact, enclosed pool area is protected from traffic noise by the building. A narrow but pleasant pool surround has a limited supply of sunloungers and is overlooked by some of the accommodation and an upper terrace with ornate arches and pillars. There is little in the way of greenery.
Area Type: In the heart of the commercial area, on a relatively busy street, surrounded by office buildings, car hire outlets, small shops and eateries. Taxis wait along the street and the airport bus stops 180m away. Medina is located 800m to the south and the Marjorelle Gardens are a similar distance to the north east.
