The busy Rue Dabbachi with all its shops, restaurants and narrow entrances to the souks is 150m to the north. The Bahia Palace is 200m to the south with the royal Palace 120m further beyond the gold souk.
There are three ornate courtyards, one of which has a long and narrow ornamental pool which is more for photographing than swimming. Lush shrubs and flowering plants add to the character and style around the pool.
