Riyad El Cadi, Marakesh Morocco
No weather data found for [, ”Morocco”, ”Morocco”, horizontal]
A centrally located modern riad which often features art displays on its pristine white walls. A minimalist and neoclassical theme prevails with rectangular arches, narrow passages and some original tilework. The fabrics have been carefully chosen in order to enhance the decor with subtle use of colour and detail. The calm and relaxing courtyards provide an oasis of tranquillity after a hard day’s sightseeing.
Attracts German, French and British guests who prefer a modern, well-organised base in the heart of the medina.
As central as it gets, in the heart of the medina with the textiles market, spice souk and host of sights almost on its doorstep. The busy Rue Dabacchi is 100m away and the Jemma el Fna 150m with its eateries, entertainment, taxis and horse drawn carriages. The entrance may be difficult to find for new arrivals and so an airport pick up may be essential.
The many museums of Marrakech are within walking distance for most guests and the labyrinth of narrow streets lined with colourful stalls in the souks are 100m away. The Kasbah and Royal Palace are 400m to the south.
A tiny courtyard pool is more for decoration and inadequate for swimming. A roof top terrace has a number of comfortable sunloungers and fine views over the medina.
Leisure & Entertainment
There is a hammam with massage treatments arranged in advance. Most guests make for the Jemma el Fna with its food stalls and street entertainers in the evenings.
