Tigmi, Marakesh Morocco

No weather data found for [, ”Morocco”, ”Morocco”, horizontal]
A calm and relaxed oasis, with many quiet corners and tiny courtyards. The pink stone blends in well with the desert-like surroundings and the village outside is as basic as it gets. A bar and lounge is well-furnished and the lush gardens create little need for guests to leave the property during the day. With the emphasis on total relaxation and detachment the property is almost an upmarket and rarely found resort in its own right.
Popular with
Attracts many nationalities, including discerning British guests who prefer a remote hideaway with authentic surroundings and much attention to detail.
Location
On the edge of a rather derelict traditional Berber hamlet, 28km to the south of Marrakech city centre. The main road is 2.5km along an uneven track and there is little or nothing around in the way of tourist amenities. Children wave from the side of the road as their inquisitive eyes survey the arriving and departing guests. Taxis are called by the reception and there is a courtesy bus service, used mainly for airport transfers.
City
There is nothing around in the way of tourist amenities. A courtesy bus provides transport to the airport and city centre.
Pool
Two good-sized rectangular pools are accessed by short flights of steps. Luxurious sunloungers line the pool surrounds and there is plenty of space for calm relaxation, with views out over the surrounding countryside towards the mountains.
Leisure & Entertainment
An authentic spa facility offers a wide range of health related treatments. A carpet maker shows his skills and a small shop has souvenirs and handicrafts. There is no organised evening entertainment although the management arrange some folklore evenings when requested.
Access & Mobility*
The many stairs and narrow entrances are not suitable for wheelchair-users. The surrounding area is definitely not suitable for wheelchair users.
