A pleasant and relatively central offering in one of the resorts calmer areas with splendid views along the coast towards Faro and beyond.

The many Portuguese traditional features add to the ambience and style of the interior, however, the steep steps down to the beach may prove somewhat troublesome to the less agile although there is an elevator situated further along the cliff top promenade.

An austere looking modern building with a more attractive accommodation area stretching down the side of the cliff. There is a mix of recessed and protruding balconies most of which enjoy uninterrupted sea views.

Interior

The smart and well furnished interior is comprised of a large welcoming lobby with a reception desk to one side and a white panelled ceiling. Wicker seating is situated in the lobby and a pleasant lounge area. A poolside breakfast room also operates as a snack bar and overlooks the pool. A top floor restaurant and bar has wooden floors and splendid sea views.

Grounds

The grounds are restricted in size and stretch down the edge of the cliff terrace from the breakfast room. The pool surround is rather small when considering the number of rooms on offer and there is a lack of natural shade. The sweeping sea views add to the charm and are a photographer’s dream.

Area Type: In a raised location, 500m to the W of the old town area, in a quiet residential district, away from the main tourist area. There is a selection of small local shops and a snack bar from 200m away and a larger selection from 400m. Bus stop 150m.
