Tribeca Grand Hotel

Tribeca Grand Hotel, New York USA

Opinion

An important feature is the stylish clock stand boldly position on the forecourt – important as this is the only place, on its face, displaying the name of the property! Inside, the decor is stunning and the occasional famous face is attracted not only by the atrium restaurant and nightclub but also by the screening room for films. This is suited to those looking for a modern, comfortable and chic base away from the frenetic pace of Midtown.

Interior

The stone effect floored lobby is reached through the chrome-trimmed glass rotating doors where careful use of light and illuminations create a brassy-gold style decor. The reception desk and a small seating area is located on an elevated level at the entrance with a series of steps and winding ramp leading down to a vast inner 8-storey atrium. Both the open plan restaurant and extensive lounge bar is located here.

Towards the rear, there is an acclaimed lounge with soft cushioned bench style seating in front of wall of fire, where flame effects are reflected off the backdrop. Double doors at the rear are an additional entrance from the street to an occasional music club room. On the basement level, there are meeting rooms and fitness centre. The most striking feature is the screening theatre, a full-scale stage and film projection facility with tiered seating.
