A large mass market establishment comprising a pleasant combination of modern accommodation buildings set behind an imposing palatial communal area, with many traditional Moroccan features.
With a variety of dining options and spacious communal areas it attracts an international array of guests who prefer a large resort-style establishment to the smaller, more intimate options in the old city area.
A separate private villa has its own pool and small garden. Although relatively large, the pool area may get busy when the accommodation is fully booked.
A large, impressive off street gateway leads to a driveway and a canopied drive-up entrance. Wide frontage creates a favourable first impression although there is little in the way of local character.
Accommodation is in three sections, which would not look out of place in Benidorm. Most rooms have a wide recessed balcony with many overlooking the pool. A shopping arcade occupies one side of the communal building.

Massive lobby is cool and airy with a good supply of comfortable seating for those checking in or waiting for transport. Rich marble cladding creates a palatial feel and an ornately carved wooden ceiling creates warmth and traditional character. Chandeliers and leather sofas complete the scene, providing and elegant, quality orientated setting.
A Moroccan style restaurant is especially attractive with its traditional tiling, sweeping arches, low tables and deep cushioned seating. Main restaurant and bar are more impersonal but well arranged with plenty of seating and space for diners.
Modern coffee shop style restaurant is located on a terrace overlooking the grounds. Spacious pool area is flat and well arranged although the pool is barely adequate in size for a property with over 600 guest rooms.
An adequate number of sunloungers is available but in the busy periods there may be more towels than bodies in evidence. Lofty palms and mature shrubs add colour and character and the neat flower beds offer interest and style. A well equipped spa is also used by guests at neighbouring establishments.
Area Type: Located in a fast developing area, almost 1km to the south west of the ancient Medina, set back from the main road that leads out towards the Menara Gardens and the Medina. Modern area of Hivernage is 200m away and offers a range of smart restaurants and snack outlets. Shops and wider range of restaurants are available in the Gueliz area, 800m to the north east. Taxis wait outside the entrance gates.
